PLEASE SHARE AND COMMENT: HOW TO DO WATER PRINCIPLE CAPOEIRA GROUND FIGHTING/PRINCIPIO DE AGUA CAPOEIRA

There is no movement or technique in any fighting system anywhere that isn't already a part of the movement arsenal of authentic Kipura/"Capoeira" as expressed by my family's unique functional NJIA UHURU. This knowledge comes directly form the proper and correct understanding of the spiritual mental and philosophical foundational underpinnings of the Afrikan art of my ancestors when properly combined with the correct fighting functional training of my family's art.

Let me put it another way, so that most of you looking at me with your mouths hanging open or with that:" I call B.S. on that!" expression on your face can understand better.

There is no human movement which isn't in the movement arsenal of Kipura/"capoeira" [ which includes every athletic movement in every sport and the near infinite varieties of dances from the culture of Afrika and her Afrikan children worldwide, but you weren't taught properly so you don't know that ].  Movements transcend techniques. Every technique is a movement, but not every movement is a technique. Because the movement arsenal of my family's NJIA UHURU is infinite, so is its potential technique base. That allows us to formulate our own personalized comprehensive expression which we extrapolate to all human movement or to whatever areas of human movement that we wish.

These movements are expressed through Principles of Motion which extend beyond the well known Principles [ which originated in Afrika ] of Wood, Metal, Fire, Water, Air, and Earth [ I am not allowed to publicly share all of the Principles. Sorry. My Elders forbid it ]. Each of these Principles have hallmark Concepts and expressions which allow them to express whatever movements or lack thereof they wish, but in recognizably distinctive ways. The recognizable distinction oftentimes expresses itself as if the human body is channeling through movement a particular Energy Principle, like Fire or Water. The human moves and thinks like Water incarnate, Fire incarnate. Understand?

The above video expresses the Water Principle, embodied by the mighty Yemaya [ she has many different expressions of her name: Yemonya, Iemana, Iemaya, Yemanja, Yemonja, Yemoja etc ].

"...Yemonja - Yemoya is one of the major misunderstood Orisa energies. It is not some passive feminine mother figure; it is an enormously powerful energy matrix controlling a host of attributes. From mother, provider, teacher, in possession of secrets of the depths of the Ocean to an incredibly forceful destructiveness personified by Hurricanes, it is one of the foundational energies of Ifa..."

Understanding the mental and philosophical lessons offered in the study of Yemaya and Ifa and functionally, progressively, infinitely applied to movement and self defense is the beginning of how to do the Water Principle in NJIA UHURU ground fighting, any fighting or human expression, and life itself.

No, you don't have to "convert" to any religious thought or anything. Hahahaha. These are lessons, like math, with a philosophy. Like Chan/Zen Buddhism. One can study math and Zen Buddhism without becoming a mathematician or Buddhist.

By the way...This Orisa Yemaya also encompasses the Sea of Space. There is an infinity of knowledge to be explored and grasped merely by attempting to plumb the depths of the lessons of this Orisa alone. But that is another story for maybe another blog.

And yes. This is another example of why your Capoeira Mestre is not teaching the authentic art, doesn't know it, never knew it, and is a Cardio Capoeirista. A expert at teaching exercise and dance like movement without genuine functional knowledge or life expression.
